Mary Shares Her Skills

Mary is one of the master weavers of Manzini, and it’s through her own talents that she’s enabled her fellow weavers to broaden their skill set beyond the limited product range that they produced initially. Five years ago, the group was supplying Madwa with wastepaper bins and laundry baskets, but this product portfolio has now expanded to include the likes of placemats, tissue boxes, food covers, planters, side tables and most recently, hanging lamps. Women like Mary drive the personal and professional growth of her peers, embracing challenges as an opportunity to transfer skills to the creation of new products.
